A quiet portrait from a studio session.

Model:  Renee.  Camera:  Pentax 67.  Lens:  200mm.  ftop = 8.  Shutter Speed 1/30th.  Film: E-6 transparency film.  ISO=100.  Lighting: Profoto box and head.  4x6 foot softbox used in close with several layers of extra diffusion.

Sometimes the only goal is to translate beauty onto film.

It is always great when you share your photographs. The connection you have with your subjects is that part of the process beyond description and the source of the beauty. All the rest does not matter.

OMG. Just to have such a beautiful woman stare at you like that. My heart is beating faster just looking at the photo. Amazingly beautiful. Amazing.

Every time I see these gorgeous photos you tempt me to start looking for a used Hasselblad or Mamiya. But then I think about processing film again and scanning each frame and I don't know. For an amateur with nowhere near your level of skill how much difference will it really make compared to an EPL1?

Superb photo: dark brown hair and eyes with the blue kimono. Love the way the light falls off to the right. Great chiaroscuro. Thanks.

Quiet?

She held her ground in the face of a Pentax 67 going off. Brave lass; and a beautiful portrait.
